7 Features and Options
7.1 Standard features
The following list contains standard eSite Modular features included in the system. For detailed information regarding all features, see “Operations Manual".
One AC source
AC source can be set to Grid.
3-phase grid monitoring
Smart grid controls and alarms.
Low Voltage Disconnect
The eSite RMC is equipped with dual Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD) with controls based on voltage levels. The customer load is disconnected if the battery voltage falls below a configurable threshold. The Low Priority (LP) customer load is disconnected before the High Priority (HP) load.
Alarm/Error management
Set Alarms on events to local web, eSite Tools, SNMP and over Modbus.
Battery Charge control
Battery customization wizards
Customize battery settings using built-in templates.
Function redundancy
Independent Rectifier/Solar converter fall-back functions.
eSite Web
Used to perform local site configurations and monitoring. See the Operations Manual for detailed information.
Site Commissioning
Web-based wizard guide for registering connected Converter Units and to set up the most important settings after system installation.
Configurable Digital In
The eSite RMC is equipped with 20 dry contacts that are configurable to different features and alarms. For example, indicators for battery bank MCB and cabinet door can be connected to allow the system to take appropriate actions and trigger alarms.
Logging
Local data logging functionality which can be exported and used by external applications.
Cabinet Cooling control
Battery cabinet cooling equipment can be controlled automatically by the eSite RMC with Delta Ambient and Battery Temp Level control options.
Green Power Influx
Green Power Influx maximizes solar energy harvesting by inhibiting the AC power sources when the available solar power is sufficient.
Solar MPPT
Advanced Solar MPPT control to find the most efficiency effect output in all weather conditions. See section 6.3 “Solar” for detailed information.
Communication
External Remote Monitoring Systems (RMS) can communicate with the eSite RMC to receive important data signals and alarms. The software also includes support for communication via SNMP and Modbus server via RTU and TCP. See the Operations Manual for detailed information.
7.2 Additional Options
Some features in the eSite Modular software requires for the feature functionality to be activated.
Several additional options packages are available, below are the present for this revision listed.
The list below outlines the standard options that are referenced in this documentation and . For a complete list of available options, compatibility between options and what is included in each option package, a specific options document may be requested from eSite Power Systems.
7.2.1 Standard options
Second AC source support package
Enables connection of a second AC source. Switch between sources with solid state electronics. Current, voltage and frequency measurements are measured separately.
Solar package
Include controls of internal 6.6 kW solar converters. Advanced Solar MPPT algorithm, Green Power Influx
Hybrid functionality package
Genset management, Night Silence function, Genset Exercise run, Battery Charge strategies (Voltage Cycle, Static SOC, Partial SOC), Battery Monitoring (SOC, Battery capacity), UPS AC mode, Configurable Modbus client (AMF panels).
Advanced Fuel Monitoring package
Pressure-based fuel level sensor for monitoring fuel consumption and anti-theft control.
Multi-tenant Monitoring package
Individual DC output monitoring: Up to 10 x Tenant current measurement sensor. Tenant identification and energy consumption analysis.
Auxiliary Communication Interfaces package
SNMP
eSite Tools package
FOTA (Firmware Over-the-Air) upgrades, Remote configuration, Remote monitoring, Alarm/Error event to NOC, Report services, Diagnostics.
Cabinet Cooling package
Support for battery cabinet cooling equipment with Delta Ambient and Battery Temp Level control options.
7.2.2 Custom specific options
Some options/features may be received as additional SW patches. This may apply for already existing features or new features developed and customized upon request, based on customer requirements in coordination with the eSite development team. See the following table for examples of custom specific options that may be developed.
Custom specific options are normally disabled from the standard software implementation by default and are not visible in any UI.
