Independent Rectifier/Solar converter fall-back functions.
eSite Web
Site configuration and monitoring. See “Operational Manuals” for detailed information.
Site Commissioning
Web based wizard guide you to set the most important values.
Configurable Digital out
5 dry contacts can be configurable to different features and alarms. For example, indication on battery bank MCB(s) and battery door can be connected to allow eSite x10 to take appropriate actions and trigger alarms.
Logging
Local data logging functionality which can be exported and used by external applications.
Dual battery bank
A second battery bank can be installed with separate charge current measurement to maintain balance and health between the banks.
Battery cabinet fan control
Fans in the battery cabinet can be controlled automatically from eSite x10.
Green Power Influx
Green Power Influx maximizes solar energy harvesting by inhibiting the AC power sources when the available solar power is sufficient.
Solar MPPT
Advanced Solar MPPT control to find the most efficiency effect output in all weather conditions. See section 6.3 “Solar” for detailed information.
Communication
External Remote Monitoring Systems (RMS) can communicate with eSite x10 to receive important data signals and alarms. The eSite x10 software includes support for communication via SNMP and Modbus server via RTU and TCP. See “Operations Manual” for detailed information.
6.1.2 RY-001: Main Unit with 10.5 kW rectifier system capacity (no Solar)
The RY-001 ( with 10.5 kW rectifier system and no Solar capacity) variant includes all features as RSY-001 except for the Solar features ( Solar MPPT and Green Power mode).
6.1.3 RE-001: Expansion Unit with 10.5 kW rectifier system
The RE-001 main unit acting as an slave to the master unit. All decisions are taken in the master unit. The communication between the units are via CAN communication. Alarm and Error are shown in the master unit.
The Expansion Unit add 10.5 kW rectifier power to the System. The customer loads can be connected through a common bus bar or separately between the both units. See “Installation Guide” for more information.
6.2 Additional Options
Several options packages are available, below are the present for this revision listed.
6.2.1 O-SA-01: Secondary AC Source
Two AC-power sources, grid and generator, can be connected to the eSite x10 while only one power source will be in active use at a time.
eSite x10 system employs a patented solid state transfer switch with varistor transient protection of all phases towards neutral. In combination with fast response control loops, it gives the ability to completely disconnect power sources when harmful longer duration surges are detected. Therefore, each 3.5kW rectifier channel can select between two AC sources, i.e. generator (DG) phase 1 or grid (Mains) phase 1.
The power supplied by the AC sources is measured to ensure that the most efficient AC source is used to harvest power. eSite x10 prioritizes grid power whenever available and in adequate condition to be harvested (see table AC Input).
When the power, supplied by grid, does not meet the set parameters, eSite x10 will switch the source to the diesel generator. The switch between the connected generator/grid is automatic.
UPS-Mode, in this mode we don’t cycle the batteries and don’t shut down AC power when batteries are fully charged. The AC power can be both Grid and Genset. See “Operational Manuals” for detailed information.
6.2.2 O-DGC-01: Genset control
eSite x10 Genset management automatically starts and stops the genset when requested by the selected battery charge strategy, voltage level or set time. The genset start signal is controlled by a relay that is closed when eSite requires the genset to start. eSite determines the genset power request and controls the genset power output so that it is not overloaded. This can be used to prevent overload on smaller gensets.
Night silence, is designed to prevent running the genset at night in order to avoid noise disturbance. eSite x10 pre-charges the battery bank to ensure that it is sufficiently charged before the silent period starts.
Genset monitoring over Modbus via RS–485 or TCP. Reads information provided by the genset control panels such as alarms, rpm, cooling temperature, oil pressure etc.
6.2.3 O-FL-01: Fuel monitoring including fuel sensor
The eSite x10 can be integrated with a pressure-based fuel sensor that is mounted inside the fuel tank. The calculation for fuel consumption is based on how much fuel is added with each refill.
Measuring fuel using a pressure-based sensor is the most common and conventional way to monitor fuel on remote sites. Using this system the volume, consumption, volume filled and volume loss can be monitored remotely through eSite Tools. The sensor measures the pressure relative to the atmosphere using a vent tube so weather changes will not affect the measurement.
6.2.4 O-FL-02: Fuel monitoring excluded fuel sensor
Fuel consumption statistics in combination with, by eSite Power Systems, approved fuel sensors. Using this system the volume, consumption, volume filled and volume loss can be monitored remotely through eSite Tools.
6.2.5 O-TM-01: Multi tenant monitoring
The eSite x10 unit is preconfigured for up to three tenants with separate load measurements per “Main Unit”. If the system is configured with an RY-001 “Expansion Unit” then there is a need to order 2 packages of “”Multi tenant monitoring”.
The Multi-tenant sensor kit includes three LEM sensors connecting to the eSite x10 via CAN. Max 350A.
Multi-tenant monitoring with individual DC output monitoring and three unique current measurements.
eSite Tools dashboard displays the measured current and power measurement of individual tenants.
6.2.6 O-GB-01: Genset start battery charger
A 48 V to 12 V DC/DC converter for charging the genset start battery.
